OUR DAY IN MAY

On the Glenelg Beach at Sunset on the 25th of December 2019, Benjamin proposed to Sarah and, as you might guess given this website, she said yes!

Over the coming days everyone we told was curious about our plans, wanting to know when the wedding might be, where it would be and who would be coming. We didn't know then what was around the corner, so when the global pandemic hit, we were left with the tough decision as to whether we'd have to wait to be with friends and family, or try to make it a celebration of the times.

As you might know from our personalities, we don't like being told "no" or having our terms dictated to us. With that in mind, Benjamin started to theorise how a wedding could be co-ordinated online allowing us to invite as many guests as we wanted. Again, fortunately when Benjamin asked whether this was something Sarah would want, she said yes again (no mean feat. Sarah doesn't usually like agreeing with anything or anyone).

Rather than wait in limbo, we wanted to bring forward our Wedding day to the 30th of May for a number of reasons.

Firstly, the 30th is roughly in between Benjamin's birthday of May 27 and Sarah's birthday of June 5.

Secondly, this time of year in the Northern Territory is amazingly beautiful, consistent weather with a daily average of 29 degrees (celsius), little humidity and next to no chance of rain.

Finally, but by no means least, it could give us an opportunity to share it with all our family and friends, no matter where in the world they find themselves. Trying to plan a wedding in any location in the next 12 months, where people could travel to attend, is near impossible.

You can now view our Wedding photographs and video from the day by visiting our Gallery section on the website.
